Hosta and Corn and mouths to feed

We have to keep our hosta behind fence, because otherwise the deer come along and munch them down to nothing.

It's the same with the corn garden - deer and raccoons would make short work of it.

On the other hand, with the corn, our guests make short work of it!  Or so we hope.  Despite having carefully planted different varieties, assured that they ripen at different dates, it seems that we've got the whole garden pretty much Good to Go Right on Your Plate!   Call us if you'd like to order some of our fabulous fresh organic corn. There's nothing fresher!

Carol will even come out from hiding (weeding) under the huge blue hosta and help pick it for you!

The very happy free ranging hens are doing their bit to feed the masses here at Bondi as well. In addition to one rare breed who lays an egg with a green tint to the shell, we have one over ambitious hen who lays double yolks!!

  2. Very good to keep the veggies fenced off. My parents had their garden raided by the deer one summer.
