Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Hmmm... Caught out, after the Swim

hmmm.... don't text and canoe... unless you're posting pics of Jackie's epic swim back from the Island this morning. LOL

Bubbles!

Bubbles... Just bubbles... it was supposed to be for the little kids, but the big kids had a ton of fun as well  #bondivillage #summerfun #northmuskoka#explorersedge

Canadian Kids...

Real Canadian Kids know how to nap in a canoe... Amelia shows how it's done. #explorersedge #bondivillageresort #truecanadian

Don't Mist Seeing the Deer!

Don't Mist This! The doe brings the fawns for some windfall apples at Wheelhouse cottage in the early morning mist... #bondivillage#northmuskoka #explorersedge #algonquin

Day 's End

coming home, end of day... thank you Brendan Jaekl for another superb photo.

Things we Love (and People we love too)

Dave Fowler wrote this for us: "We just returned from our 30th annual holiday at Bondi Village Resort on Lake of Bays, Dwight. If there is such a thing as a perfect housekeeping cottage resort, Bondi is it. A nice sandy beach; cottages spaced far apart for privacy and a wide expanse of grounds for kids to run and play. A “barn” for playing ping pong and board games. Our sons made friends when they were little boys with other boys that they grew up with in the two annual weeks there, and now they still keep in touch. Here are Paul and Britt on the dock; Tim and Becky in the canoe."
It is an absolute privilege to have families like this, who have come year after year, affording us the honour of watching their families grow up, who are truly Family, in every sense of the word. Thanks for this David, and Janet, and Tim and Paul... and now Becky and Britt too! Can't wait for next summer to catch up on your next adventures!

It takes a Village, but it's worth it

It takes a village -- it's not easy to get Jack and his wheelchair into the lake (he took a dim view of my suggestion to just run it off the end of the dock... but I wasn't serious  ) but the end result was worth it. Check out that smile!
