360 Degree Sunset

Following the rain shower on Wednesday, we got beautiful sky colours.
And not just along the western horizon.
Perhaps because of the mist still drifting from the trees following the storm, the colour was all around us.
That mist gave a wonderful softness to the sunset.
There was a herd of deer frolicking on the lawn by Springside while I was out with my camera. Truly, frolicking. The yearlings from last summer were leaping about as if gravity was really nothing more than a theory. The low light didn't allow me to capture their antics on film -- at least not in focus! -- but they were delightful to watch at play.
The hydro was briefly knocked out by the storm, but it was back on line before our guests were ready to cook dinner, and Mick (who was master chef de barbeque for the salmon dinner) reported that the power outage was of no importance: they were playing bridge! And looking out the windows...
Looking almost due east from the lake, back towards Sunflower cottage, we still had the lovely colours on view.
Truly a sunset that wrapped all the way around us with its vibrant colours.
