This is the time of year when we often see the tiny fawns stashed away somewhere on the lawn, or the garden, or the back field.
So far this year, we haven't 'tripped over the baby deer' ... yet...
But the does are enjoying hanging out on the lawns. They are still losing their winter coats, so look a bit scruffy -- but that longer thicker coat still protects them from insects, so not all bad.
These photos were taken next to Longside cottage (with Tamarack in the background)
and at Farside (with the lake behind.) We think they make for lovely lawn ornaments.
