Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Thank you Thanksgiving

Here's a collection of photos from our Thanksgiving weekend.

What sensational weather we enjoyed!

It was wonderful to see so many of our guests here, outside, enjoying the autumn weather and sunshine.

The water was warm enough to lure in swimmers -- and not just for a quick dip.

Mind you, nobody, but nobody, showed more 'skillz' jumping into the water than Zack and Alli

The autumn colours were right at their peak.

The Dorset Tower, way over there...
Algonquin Park becomes a little (well more than a little) crazy with tourists coming to look at the fall colours at this time of year.  If you can, it is often better to simply re-route to some of the lesser known and therefore less crowded trails and scenic sites in the area. There is no shortage of fall colour to see!

From the top of our own Lookout trail, for instance, you can actually see the Dorset Tower, which is listed as the top destination for viewing the fall colours.  That's certainly true, if you don't mind being in a crowd... On our mountain top, there's just us -- oh and some bear sign on the trees...   and some funky fungus... And one of our groups spotted four deer as they climbed up and the deer frolicked down.

We had canoe enthusiasts out -- some trying out a canoe for the first time ever.

And we had those who were just happy to relax in a Muskoka chair and soak up that wonderful sunshine.

Some just wanted to take a short afternoon nap.  Others went off on grand adventures.

For the Robb family, hiking in the back fields about 6.30 p.m., the entire wolf pack sang for them -- what an amazing experience and what a great thrill.

And of course, the cottagers were all enjoying their very own Feasts... Taffy was enchanted patrolling the property to check out the various delicious odours coming from each and every cottage.

And with weather like this, in a country like ours, there is so very much to be thankful for.
