Chanterelles... Rocket Fuel?

Anne and Fred hadn't even been here a full day before they filled their quota of Chanterelle mushrooms, harvested from the woods near Bondi.

Fred is such a "fun-guy", he really knows his wild mushrooms, and how to harvest them responsibly.

And every summer we look forward to the tasty treats he makes for us from the woodland bounty. We think they feast on this bounty of chanterelles

all week -- and we are wondering if that is what gives Fred the power to swim the mile from the Island in only twenty one minutes!!! Perhaps, secretly, they are rocket fuel??? or his super power???

Napster Art

We are very proud of Napster, our tail-painting cat, who uses his lovely artwork to raise money for charities. This lovely little creature passed away July 2015, but left a huge legacy, having raised over $12,000 for various charities through the sale of his artwork. That artwork, through prints and notecards, is still available.
