It could not have been a more perfect morning for a distance swim. Water was glassy calm, and the lake was 80 degrees... bliss.
We had five swimmers from the Island, and sixteen tackling the Point and Back. Lots of boats out too, which is always wonderful for support. Our youngest swimmer was 3 year old Matthew, who dog paddled alongside his mom (with pool noodle, life jacket and support boat) for the trip back from the Island. Fastest time? our speedy swim club star Jenna, who'll make the National team one day, we are quite sure!

We were joined briefly at the Point by a flock of geese... and then, on the way back, Taffy decided it was hot enough to hop in and cool down, too, so a very full morning for everyone!
I wonder what the geese think of all those humans swimming.
