Bay Watch
I'm going to start posting daily photos so you can watch the ice go out. They will tell their own story.
We watch the lake all day long, at this time of year. It changes every minute, the way it traps the light, the way the ice darkens, the way wind can start it all moving.
Some years, it just goes... there one hour, and not the next. Some years it gets piled up over the docks and shoved on shore.
It's beautiful, watching spring arrive!

After spending several hours throughout a summer's day watching the changing vistas of the lake from Cedars cottage, I can truly appreciate the difference the change of seasons makes. Your writing is so evocative that I can practically hear and see the bay. Wish I was there.
