Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Good fences make good neighbours

Snow plow damage to our cedar fenceline prodded the Maintenance Dept. into action.  Before this year's snowfall, they have moved the fence back a few feet and put it on new posts that should be more able to withstand the force of the snow that gets tossed aside.

That's one of the things about country roads in Canada that sets us apart.  We know that it's going to snow. No surpises... not like the city to the south of us (who shall remain nameless) that is always dumbstruck when the first big snowfall of the year arrives. Snow???? In Canada????  Who'd have expected that?????

Up here the roads are designed not only for the travel of the vehicles, but for the removal of the snow. Wide shoulders, deep ditches all provide a place for that snow to be placed.  Which means that winter driving up here is not bad at all.

  1. Great keeping that department busy! It's been a cold few days. Treat to work in the outdoors.
