Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Be Thankful that the Force is With You

The lake was 68 degrees on Thanksgiving Monday.  While our full house of guests gradually prised themself away -- following a spectacular weekend of weather and family reunions -- a few unexpected visitors dropped by for that one last ski.

Darth Vader and one of his Storm Troopers showed up at the dock while Brian was taking Sarah and Melanie tubing.

Now, it's hard to say NO to Darth... so they strapped on the boards and Brian headed down the bay with them.

Meanwhile, back in the shallows, Imogen and Michael were playing a game of water tag...

Hulene continued her unbroken streak of swimming in the lake EVERY DAY that she has been Bondi.

Brian managed to convince the dynamic duo to drive the boat for him to have a turn.

And Mike offered me a considerable sum of money NOT to post the video of him wiping out... (only on the first attempt - he's actually amazing on waterskiis, but the Storm Trooper mask combined with his sunglasses rendered him essentially blind. Which, in retrospect, was a bad plan.
