Now that kind of weather will get your attention when you dash out the door!
If you dress well, with layers, and a scarf covering your face, and with good boots and mittens, it's not nearly as fierce as some folk would have you believe.
If you don't dress for the conditions, well, good luck, that's all...I made sure that all our bird feeders were full this morning. There were 15 bluejays, several chickadees, nuthatches and woodpeckers all vying with the red squirrel to get some energy boosting treats! This time of year can be rough on wildlife! This is a Downy woodpecker, working away at the suet just outside my window.
It was bloody cold today. I was in layers.
