Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

 Early morning, -35 below...

Now that kind of weather will get your attention when you dash out the door!

If you dress well, with layers, and a scarf covering your face, and with good boots and mittens, it's not nearly as fierce as some folk would have you believe.

If you don't dress for the conditions, well, good luck, that's all...

I made sure that all our bird feeders were full this morning.  There were 15 bluejays, several chickadees, nuthatches and woodpeckers all vying with the red squirrel to get some energy boosting treats!   This time of year can be rough on wildlife!   This is a Downy woodpecker, working away at the suet just outside my window.
