Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

The Snow Dance Seemed to Work

Brian and Dave set up the firepit for our guests at the Lodge for some after dinner marshmallows and chat.

It was just misty, not quite a rain, not quite anything really, when we were getting set up. Just a very mild evening, to be out by a fire.

But what the heck, they came to ski, and snowshoe, and play with snow...

So some of us got up and Waltzed, a good old fashioned Snow Dance to bring on the weather.

Well... about that...
Be careful what you wish for... The snow arrived, and pelted on us for the rest of the evening.

The following day the temperature spiked back up, and it got pretty sloppy... but we've got proof that when the Old Salts call for the snow, they've got connections!

We tried howling for the local wolf pack, but they either couldn't hear us through the falling snow, or they weren't close enough to answer.   We had to make do with our Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, Taffy...
