Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

October in the Swim!

Hulene and Imogen set the record. They were in the lake today for 45 minutes, swimming from the main dock to the boathouse at Springside, and the dock at Chateau.

Ali and Zack scored high points for jumping off the dock -- the downside of that is that it carries you below the warm top layer of water right into the chilly thermocline beneath.

That's Zack vanishing into said thermocline...

Our intrepid swimmers and leapers weren't alone-- it seemed like a LOT of folks were in the lake. It's cooler than in the summer, of course, but it is warmer than a lot of Canadian waters!!

Some guests opted to stay on top -- canoes and fishing boats got quite a workout today too!  (although the fish fry for lunch didn't quite work out we're told)

Others opted to play frisbee golf, lawn soccer, hike trails, or simply sit on the dock and enjoy the sunshine.

It was a perfect October day, no matter how you spent it!
