Robin and Liam had a great time tobogganing this morning, but what put the icing on the cake (so to speak) was their trek out across the bay following the setting sun. The boathouse isn't smoking -- what you see is smoke rising from the fish hut in the distance, where the fishermen are keeping warm, and getting ready to cook up their catch.
The way the light fell across the snow created fabulous shadows and gleaming stretches of unbroken snow.
Perfect for having Mom and Dad pull you along on your sleds.
And also perfect for posing for a family picture, in the curiously striped evening shadows.
