Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Natives and New in the Garden

Wild flags, as my Mom called them. Wild iris. Fleur de Lis, more formally.  Gorgeous however you say it.

These are currently out in riotous bloom all around our property, adding a real 'pop' of colour to my walks and wanders.

Meanwhile, up at the Office, Carol's rhodedendrons are looking very impressive.  My Mom would have been thrilled with these -- it was not always possible to find plants that would withstand our winters, even under covers. She grew up in England where it is common to see huge hedges and stands of rhododendrens. She would have approved of these!

In the garden, the iris are all starting to come into bloom. We have a wide variety and the colours can be breath-taking. Add to them the bluebird popping in and out looking for food for the nestlings, and you have a beautiful place indeed!
