It is October, according to the calendar.
With guests in swimming every day, sun shining warm and nights that only need a light sweater, it's a far cry from October's we remember when we had snowfall before the 10th.
It has been the most wonderful autumn for outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, canoers, and those that just want to sit on the lawn and admire the stars.
Or listen to the wolf pack, who have been very obliging of late.
In the garden, Carol's gladiolas are still in fabulous bloom.
The sunflowers, too, are holding their colour. And their bees.
