It is with deep sadness we say 'good-bye' to one of our long long time Bondi Family members. Daniel (Dan) O'Neill passed away unexpectedly on August 20th at the Kingston General Hospital. Surrounded by his family, Dan succumbed to a brief and sudden illness.We were shocked by the news. Dan was a true gentleman. He shared his life with his wife Shirley for 52 years; was the loving Dad to Kathy (Mitch Martin); Wendy (Greg Richardson), Jay (Kathy). He was the Grandpa to oneof favourite "flocks" of Bondi Kids -- Jenna, Sam, Tim, Ella, Andrew, Andrew, Jamie, Jack, Sophie and Tess. Collectively this family has been gracing us with their presence for many years -- for longer than most of the grandkids have been around in fact, and it has been an absolute pleasure to watch this family grow, and to share in Dan's delight in all of them.
We are going to miss him, his great good humour and warm genuine presence, and the sheer love and joy he always demonstrated about his family. We look forward to watching this family continue to grow, and to welcoming them home to Bondi every year.... but we'll miss you, Dan. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. It has truly been an honour to call you our friend.
