Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Circle the Calendar Date

I stopped by yesterday to drop off some items for the Royal lePage Shelter Foundation Garage Sale fundraiser in Dwight.
Last year, Jay and her partner won a national award for their success in hosting this event, which is a really ntoable achievement. Dwight is not the largest centre in Canada...
Now, the best part about dropping off items is not that it helps clean out your house, not even that you get that 'good feeling' because you know stuff is not being thrown away but is moving on to other useful and good homes, the best part is getting to tour through the collection before Sale Day (which is on May 15th... mark your calendars)
A group of local lovelies were on hand at the time, and while they were sticking to their story that they'd come to help organize, the truth was they they were there for the fashion show. Sue was able to complete her look for the upcoming May Marche event, and we're sure she will be the Belle of that ball!
What a collection of items! From lava lamps to mink stoles, flower pots to sporting gear, if you don't find something intersting and tempting at this sale, you're beyond our help, and should see professionals...
So be sure to come to Dwight on May 15th and help push this worthwile event raising money for Women's Shelters over the top again this year. There will be a live auction, last year the antique fire truck was on hand, there's always a bbq lunch...
And it's in Dwight. Perfect.

Royal LePage Garage Sale is a Great Experience!

Congratulations to Jay and her team at Royal Lepage in Dwight. They held a garage sale on the weekend, raising funds for Chrysalis, Interval House and the Roayl LePage Shelter Foundation. Worthy causes all... AND a great chance to rearrange the treasures and trinkets in the house at the same time.

They raised almost $2000 for the cause. Which we think is darn good. The food ran out at the BBQ -- always a good sign! And everyone was enjoying the antique fire truck on display.

This office is well located in a little node of browsing heaven -- right next door is Hero's Antiques and the newly opened Northart Gallery of Ron Murdoch. Across the street is the Coffee Shop, with it's own new gift store, adjacent to the Langford Canoe/Kayak store.

and just down the street is the Palmer House, with a true treasure trove of unusual gifts. Past that is the Trading Post... All within a short walk of this office, you can shop till you drop. And then, if you are feeling hungry, you can check out the Dwight Market (where Keeley still reigns supreme as one of the best butchers anywhere in Muskoka)

Well done team!!!
