Hard to stop stuffing your cheeks, when there are peanuts to be had...and you are a chipmunk.
After all, there MUST be room for just one more... just one...
Sarah had never experienced a chipmunk sitting on her hand before. This little guy, hanging out at Cedars cottage with Alice, Madison and Emily, is typical of chipmunks, who are quite sociable and willing to fraternize with the human race.
They are without question adorable, in their striped suits and with their cheeks puffed out.
These are Sarah's photos, and we thank her for sharing. She was astonished at how light the chipmunk was, and how his tiny little toes touched her palm so softly.
It's a wonderful thing to get close to Nature, in her various forms. We look forward every summer to the chippy's coming for treats.
