Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Into the Swim

Last year, Jack was a trifle slow to "take on" the lake...   They were about half way through their week, before they tackled the challenge, and he was festooned with pool noodles...  We joked he looked like spaghetti dinner.

This year, more familiar with the lay of the land (the lay of the lake?) it was down the hill and into the drink almost from Day One.

That's because they've worked out the logistics, and got it down to a science.

The pool noodles are gone... It's Jack and really cool lifejacket, and he's off and swimming. Huge smiles all round.

And why not?  With the lake at 76 degrees F., it's a pretty darn nice place to be.

Today he swam all the way to the far raft and back.  Front crawl, back stroke... and little just floating.

He even got into the action with the relay race Andy organized.

All that, and grandkids galore, plenty of sunshine, lots and lots of happy faces.

That's a good day.
