Laurel was snowshoeing with her dad today in Algonquin.
She tells me (tongue in cheek) that in this photo, in the swirling snow, she was wondering "ou est mon pere?"
It was a superb day to be out in the woods, with a picnic lunch and a set of snowshoes!
And Algonquin Park is ideal if you are looking for a place to just be still and let your soul catch up. In winter, it is uncrowded -- except for the wildlife! In fact, it is a totally different park from that of a busy summer's day. And well worth exploring for that very reason!

I've spent time in Algonquin in the winter, and it is indeed so different from summer- and blessedly free of mosquitoes!
