here's another look at how incredibly beautiful this garter snake is that David found. It was carefully relocated to a safe place, so it can carry on with its 'job'. Snakes are an important part of the eco-system. Garter snakes are harmless, and very beneficial.

At the Museum of History on Canada Day, there was an expert who had one of these snakes as a demonstration.
