Winter Hikes
When the Seniors for Nature Club rolls in, things around here always liven up! Between skiing -- this year a group tackled the traditional Ski to the Island -- and Snowshoeing, they also simply Pole Walked along some of the trails.
They took in both Bondi's trails, Algonquin Park's and -- some at least -- hiked into Ragged Falls. This is a lovely little often overlooked Park between ourselves and Algonquin, with a dynamite waterfall that is spectacular in all seasons.
In between, there were indoor games, feasts to be shared, and even a foosball challenge!
Our big LODGE works wonderfully well for groups from 10 people to 18 -- and when you add in some of the adjacent cottages, as this group does, 32 members of this Club were able to get together.
Norm was kind enough to send us photographs to share, so the next few posts will highlight some of their action!
