Radio WMRK
As spring returns, so does Mark. He comes up most weekends, through spring, autumn and early winter, just enjoying being out of the city.
And while he's here, he tinkers with his radio station. Mark broadcasts music -- commercial free, and just for fun. (although you might here a brief plug for Bondi from time to time!)
"All the oldies, all the time", as he says. It's great. It's fun. And it's on the radio at 103.7 FM, where it's not interfering with any commercial stations.
Mark keeps tinkering with his broadcast studio, increasing the range. You can pick up the station on the weekend as far away as Dwight, and on the far shore from us. Frankly, we're quite amazed at the range this little broadcast equipment seems to command. Although today Mark was just kicked back on the main dock, enjoying the sound, and the sunshine.
So, if you're surfing around the dial on the weekend, take a little listen. It's golden oldies, at Radio WMRK... and if you like what you're hearing, give Mark a shout, at oldieswmrk@yahoo.ca He'd love to hear from you.
