There's so much to see and do up here in North Muskoka at that time. The fall colours will be at their peak towards the end of September, early October. There's the Cranberry Festival in Bala, right after Thanksgiving. Hiking in the Park is superb -- as the leaves come down, the view opens up.
Local restaurants linked to Savour Muskoka provide amazing dining experiences, and the little towns and villages are all far less crowded.
Or simply take some time by the water or by the fireplace to let your soul unwind.
