Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Oracles of Spring

Common knowledge dictates that it is the red breasted robin who is the first true sign of Spring.

But we would take issue with that.

While the robin has been back for about a fortnight, sounding rather mournful because there was so much snow, so little grass to hunt about in, we remained a little unconvinced that the Spring season was truly upon us.

But now we have photographic proof that the season has turned.

Napster our beloved artistic cat, who long ago made the decision to wait out the cold winter weather inside by the fire, has begun his outdoor walking program!  Once Napster heads outside, we should all be pulling on our rubber boots and windbreakers and following him into the glories of Spring.  His presence away from the fireside is proof positive, Winter is Done like Dinner...

  1. And I see Napster has seen the first robin of spring as well!

  2. It is sometimes hard for me to remember that not everyone is drenching in sunshine and blue skies. BUT, I can imagine the joy that Napster's walkabouts must trigger as every morning I look at his works of art (I have 3!) that scream summer at Bondi. Enjoy your wonderful weather and growing warmth. We're already at 36 degrees over here in Oman!! Hugs to all....sherry
