Half of the Twin Set

Returning from the Lake of Bays Association AGM in Dwight, I saw a couple standing by their car at the entrance to our sugar bush. I pulled over to be sure all was well, only to find out they were taking photographs of the twin fawns, snoozing under the pine trees beside the road, right across from the Fire Hall.

One of the twins upped and left when the cameras began to roll, but the other stayed, long enough for me to get a few photos, at least!

There were at least eight deer grazing peacefully in the sunshine in the big field. The grass, up to the fawn's belly, provided not only great cover, but a great afternoon snack as well!

And the fawns? Well, they provided a wonderful photo op. Beauty is good for the soul.
