Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Record Breaking Days

What do you do on a day when the temperature record reaches a new high?
Well, if you are a chicken, particularly one who has been waiting for this all winter long, you get outside for a luxurious dustbath, revelling in getting the fine grit all the way through your feathers, absorbing any grease or itchy bits, and then shaking it all out to be shiny and clean (for a chicken) (It's like the old dry-shampoos that enjoyed a brief vogue... but it's no match for hot bubble baths...)
The girls rolled and flapped and stretched their necks, enjoying their Spa Day.
And then, they found sunny spots along the wall of the stable, said ' to heck with the Sunblock' and spent the rest of the day just soaking up the rays.
They may be on to something...
