Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Carol's Unusual Garden

This is one of Carol's clematis, now in full bloom in the garden. It is called "Rebecca", and it is a glorious colour, highlighted here with some rain drops on the petals.

The blue of the delphiniums is a mecca for bees. And people.  Behind it the mock orange is still in frantic and fragrant bloom

Every year Carol grows something unusual -- this year it is Ground Cherries.  Me, I'd never heard of the things... but they are very tasty indeed!  The fruit
is covered in a papery husk. The flavour is a pleasant and unique tomato/pineapple like blend. It is similar to the cape gooseberry, but quite unique.  Rather fun to find something new on your tastebuds!
