Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Alert

Taffy was on high alert yesterday as I shovelled the rink.  The rink plan is that if it is cleared, then this d*** rain we are getting today will flood it up nicely. We seek the silver lining...

But what could get Taffy so fascinated? Certainly not me running a shovel across the ice...

On the shore beyond FARSIDE cottage, there were three deer taking advantage of the wind-swept snow on the lake, which is at least half the depth of the snow piled up on land.

Our deer are finding it tough to get around this winter, so we aren't seeing them on the lawn as often as usual.  Their tracks indicate that they are using the ski trails, thank you very much...  And we see them frequently crossing the ice, and coming along the shoreline.

They are lovely to watch.  Taffy agrees.
