Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Now is the Time to Ride the Trails

Conditions on the snowmobile trails are as close to perfect as it gets right now.  Trails are well groomed, there is lots of snow. And the sun is shining!

Our guests took full advantage!  Taffy was kept busy this morning counting them as they came around the barn heading for the link trail that connects us to the ASC network.

Of course, once out for the day, there is always a need to pause for lunch.  This weekend the Algonquin Snowmobile Club BBQ at the ASC Shelter on trail D101B between Dorset and Dwight.

Or you can check in at several great area restaurants, including the Bush Co, just up the road from us.

That they are popular is obvious from the number of sleds that decorate their parking lot on a daily basis!

Dwight Bay is going to be the scene for the Speed Trials during the Winter Carnival, Feb. 21 and 22.  On the right side of the photo you can see a rectangular area marked out and packed in - that is for Carnival events.  Heading out into the distance is the main trail down Dwight Bay.  Looks like a super highway!   And today was a super day to be out there...

  1. I know the snowmobiles get very busy up there through the winter. I remember watching them at Dorset, crossing open water.
