Drinking the Sun
That was the comment made on our Facebook Page by a friend when we posted this picture of the chickens, enjoying a hot patch of sunlight yesterday.
"Drinking the sun," she said. "they are Cleaning Sunlight" And so they were, catching it in their beaks and preening it into their feathers, delighting in the fact that yes, it is March, and while it is still snowy out there, there is a punch of heat in the sun now. These are the days that just ache for you to come outside.
