A little bit of warmth in the sun is often all it takes to shift the snow off the metal roofs. Usually by now, the big barn with the hubcaps has dumped the snow load. This year it is still hanging on to its white 'hat'.
The shed at the woodpile, however, ventured into Spring this week. Being a very mild pitch, it doesn't drop all the snow in one tremendous 'whoosh' that sounds like Avalanche Season, but in a more gradual slide towards the new approaching season.

Monday the snow began that slip... but today Spring was interrupted by a quick blast of frigid air that stopped the sliding snow right where it was.
So -- there's a good look at it. Winter, hanging on by a shed...
You could almost run a betting pool on how long it takes to drop off.
