The snow conditions could not have been better this week. We had a large group of avid skiers and snowshoers here in the Lodge, making full use of the trails, and giving them rave reviews.
One of the benefits of staying with us is that you can simply step out of the door of your cottage, step into your skis, and be on the trails. If some of the group want to ski for a longer time, they can opt to add in another loop. If some want an easier trail, they can take the loop around the lawn and the bay, returning sooner to sip a hot drink by the fire and wait for the rest to return. That means everyone gets to do as much, or as little, as they like, without having to organize cars, meeting times, whatever.
Tom and Mel paused on their way back for dinner to tell me they had found a wolf-kill site near one of the trails. They had spent quite a bit of time examining the tracks and studying the 'scene of the crime', and found it very interesting. Score one for the Wolf Pack.
Mel didn't realize, however, that as soon as he stopped moving, he was going to acquire a hitch-hiker!
Nancy,
ReplyDelete"Perfect snow" seemed like an oxymoron to me until I saw this picture. What a different look the resort has when it is "frosted" with all that "perfect snow". Toronto remains blessedly snow light.
