Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Afternoon Delight

Our David refers to chipmunks as "bush tigers" because of their stripes. Much more friendly, these little guys tend to invite themselves for all sorts of occasions. Including afternoon fruit salad at Sunflower cottage.

David, from Amsterdam, got these pictures of the chippy enjoying a raspberry, while cleverly advertising BONDI at the same time.

We have two families from Amsterdam here this week - which is a bit unusual in itself. Even more noteworthy was that at our beach cook-out, David looked at Oscar, Oscar looked at David, and they both said, "I know you..." (well, they said it in Dutch, but you get the point) Seems that some time back David and his friends were boating, and their vessel got swamped. Oscar and his friends were nearby in their own boat, and came to the rescue, helping to tow the flooded boat to shore.

It's a small world. But our chipmunk could have told you that...
