Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Looked Who was Passing by in Our Sky

Kathy and Don were here the other week, with the Wilderness Adventurers of Ontario nature club.

They were the fine folk I dragged out of the Lodge when we spotted the Bald eagles circling over the hill.

While I fully expected that by the time we all got back outside, our eagles would be merely a rumour, a speck on the distant sky, that just was not so.

This one obligingly soared directly overhead, in the parking lot in front of the Lodge.

I truly appreciate Kathy and Don forwarding these. If for no other reason than they prove that I was not exaggerating.

We often see the wild turkeys here now. Bald eagles are quite rare.

Isn't it marvellous to know that even when you are surrounded by turkeys, you can still soar with the eagles?
