Chanterelle Fred

Honestly, we swear that the chanterelle mushrooms hide all year, just waiting until Fred arrives!

He and Anne had not been here a day before they had come home with a big bag of mushrooms.

Sauteed with onion, served with a glass of wine at the picnic table, nothing could be finer!

The following day, he collected another monster platter of these delicious edible mushrooms.

Fred was even kind enough to take me for a walk, because it appears I can walk right by
these and think they are just dried leaves!  I really need to look more closely!

Although Taffy was quite willing to snuffle them out. She read that in France, poodles are trained to find truffles... so why not chanterelles?

Although we doubt that anyone could be better at locating these than Fred and Anne!

  1. I would have no idea which mushrooms are safe and which are not.
