Graduation Day

It must have been graduation day from flight school this past week for our tree swallows.
We counted over 50 on this wire alone, plus the anxious parents swooping about
making sure all the graduates had their tassels and hats and gowns on properly...

It has been a good year for the swallows.  At least that's a reason to celebrate the
mosquitoes -- a major food source for these birds that always hunt on the wing!

At the stable, the barn swallows have successfully fledged two nests, and are starting
in again!
