Just when you think the winter carnivals can't get any cooler, the organizing committee (Cheers to Shannan and Ashley) come up with something right off the wall.
The Dwight Winter Carnival takes place February 23 to 25th.
It kicks off sooner than that -- there is a Fundraising Dinner, catered by the legendary 3 Guys and a Stove, taking place Feb. 10 at the Dwight Community Centre, 5 to 7 p.m. It's $20, tickets at the door. Not just a meal and a chance to gather, it's got guest speakers talking about our fantabulous lakes. You'll leave with full tummies and refreshed minds.
The Carnival itself is always great fun. There's Kitty Kat snowmobiles for the little ones, Dog Sled rides for everyone, great entertainment both indoors and outside. There's a youth Talent Show... Fun and Frolics for the whole Family...
The Lions' Club will be there with lunch.
And on the 25th, from 1 - 3 p.m., there will be a Zorb Track, a 75' long track, with 8 'body zorbs'. It looks like a TON of Fun.
Carnivals -- you should be here!
