Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Still Super Sledding!

Tim reports in from the Algonquin Snowmobile Club --

"Last weekend, the Kelly Shires Ride (for Breast Cancer Awareness) was a great success again and had nothing but praise on the trail conditions that they rode on. I'm sure happy that we had enough snow to work with to have a good ride for the Girl's.

The lakes are getting better and Oxtongue Lake is in great shape. With the high traffic and cold nights its as good as it gets. The Lake of Bays is not staked yet but had plenty of traffic on it this weekend. We will have a look at Penn Lake this week to see how good it is.

The trail base is great. Pretty much full coverage with no snirt yet. We could use some snow real soon for the road running for sure.
While grooming trail 65 on Tuesday a couple sleds stopped after I let them pass. Turns out to me some sledding friends from years ago. They went down trail 76 today and saw 2 Moose. Whats with that? I'm there a couple times a week and never seen that. I'm glad someone saw that.
The Dorset Poker run is this weekend and will be taking the route on D101B from Dorset to the ASC Shelter then 65 to 66 and back to the Shelter then back to Dorset. It will be a great ride.
Just a reminder that the ASC BBQ has been pushed ahead a week to Sunday February 19, 2012 at the Shelter. If you are in the area stop by and have a bite.
We are expecting some snow on Friday which would be great."

Current trail conditions are posted on the ASC website.  Think Snow... Help Stamp Out Summer!
